Blackened Cod

Tonight for dinner, my dad showed me how to make blackened cod. We made blackened cod tacos with a cabbage slaw. I didn’t have a tortilla to make my meal a little lighter and healthier. Instead, I just served the cod over the slaw.

This is my first time blackening an ingredient such as fish. It is a great seasoning method to know how to do. I also learned that the salt that you add in any slaw draws the moisture from the vegetables. It is key to a quick, successful slaw using any vegetables.

I think fish is an extremely healthy and yummy protein. I like cooking it and eating it. It was a really nicely paired dish that we made tonight. The recipe was awesome, and I would suggest trying it out.
