My school offers breakfast in the mornings for if students couldn’t get breakfast at home. This is awesome, but the food they offer is not what students should be starting their day off with. For example, today my friend came back from the lunch room with a cinnamon roll and two sugary juices for breakfast.
They do offer fruit, but a lot of the times kids won’t even choose it. Pizza slices and frosted pastries are often what is given. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I love having a satisfying breakfast that will kickstart my day. I try to include fruit, whole grains, dairy, and protein on my breakfast plate. This way, I’m starting off my day balanced.
