Happy National Sandwich day! Sandwiches are portable, yummy, and can be a whole meal by themselves. I like to pack protein, vegetables, and dairy in between whole wheat bread to have a balanced meal.
My favorite sandwich to make is turkey, spinach, roasted red peppers, black olives, provolone, and pesto on wheat bread. It’s delicious and satisfying. I often eat half of a sandwich with a side of something like salad or fruit. Sandwiches are handy and tasty. It’s always fun to think of new ingredients to create a balanced sandwich that tastes great!
