I read an article about Taco Bell being one of the healthiest fast food chains. This sounds ridiculous considering they now serve a taco shell made out of fried chicken. I was shocked to find out some of the health facts.
Taco Bell has a dietitian that cut artificial ingredients and makes them use cage free eggs. The brand has introduced the lower-calorie Fresco menu, the high-protein Cantina menu, and a vegetarian menu certified by the American Vegetarian Association. Across all offerings, there has been a 15% reduction in sodium. However Taco Bell also offers items such as the waffle taco, the Doritos loco taco, and the uber cheesy Quesalupa. So, I’m not saying that you should eat at Taco Bell frequently but keep these health facts in mind. I think it’s really neat that this fast food chain offers so many options.
