I went for a run today l. It was a pretty long run that left me feeling awesome, tired, and very hungry. I ate a dinner full of carbs!
Along with my brown rice, cabbage, carrot, cucumber slaw, and salmon, I had a glass of chocolate milk. Chocolate milk is very beneficial in recovering from a workout or a long practice. Here are some reasons why chocolate milk is helpful to restore yourself after a workout:
- Source of fluid and electrolytes for hydration
- Protein source for muscle repair
- Carbohydrate source to replenish energy
- Contains necessary vitamins
Chocolate milk can be good for you. It’s awesome when you’re tired from a long run, practice, workout, etc. In decent doses, it is nutritious for you.
